Prepare your fruit skewers and an ice bath ready
In a microwave-safe jug/bowl, combine the sugar and water. Do not stir!
Into the microwave for 1 minute at a time until the sugar syrup turns slightly golden (mine took 8 minutes)
Quickly but carefully dip your fruits into the hot sugar syrup and quickly into the ice bath for 10 seconds. Transfer the tanghulu onto a plate and enjoy!
